Kim Fox – Owner of Outfoxed Farm

Kim, at age four, started riding at Hazelwild Farm in Virginia.

loudoun horse lessonsShe loved it. Horses have been a major part of her life ever since. From Pony Club she advanced to owning her own horse as a teenager. She was the first kid at her school to devise an official work-study plan so that she could continue in school while earning money and advancing in her training. In 1986 Kim took some dressage lessons with Debbie Bowman, a international Grand Prix dressage trainer, and was hooked. This foundation of excellence with Debbie is the foundation upon which Kim pursued her passion for dressage.

Kim spent winters in Florida and continued her training with Debbie Bowman and some of the other top riders in the world, including Grand Prix trainer Christopher Hickey and Olympic judges Linda Zang and Gary Rockwell. She was honored to be selected to ride in the U.S. Dressage Federation’s Symposium in Orlando, Florida, with Eric Lette and Anders Lindgren of Sweden. Thanks to these and other expert trainers, Kim and the Holsteiner horses she bred herself, advanced through the levels with numerous top placings. She was awarded the U.S. Dressage Federation’s bronze medal and earned many points towards the silver.

A recent student finished this year as the U.S. Dressage Federation, Adequan Training Level Amateur Rider in her region.

Kim’s philosophy is that dressage improves virtually every horse and rider, whether you are a recreational rider, an eventer, an aspiring professional or a Pony Clubber.
Afer breeding Holsteiners, boarding, and teaching dressage on her farm for thirty years, Kim is now focusing her efforts on guiding others. Kim invites you to train with her and let her help you realize your dreams with your horses.
